Map & Directions

Attractions
seapod Bed & Breakfast is ideally located for those wishing to explore the beauty and history of Port Adelaide and the Adelaide Coastline.

Semaphore, a vibrant seaside suburb is a short walk away where there are many excellent cafes, restaurants, shops, galleries and the Odeon Cinema. It hosts many summer festivals, including the International Kite Festival and the Annual Greek and Spanish Festivals. There is a waterslide, mini golf, a wonderful historic carousel, and the famous Ferris wheel of Elvis Presley fame.

The bike/walking track which runs from Semaphore to Outer Harbour with many rest and information stops along the way is just across the road. There is the coastal steam train for that special little trip. The beach is wide and sandy and perfect for swimming and the Semaphore & Largs Bay jetties are a refreshing walk away and great for observing the local fishermen cast their lines and crabnets.

The Port River Dolphin Trail and Port Adelaide Ships Graveyards are two of the many outdoor activities in the area as well the newly established Port River Dolphin Sanctuary. Covering more than 118 square kilometres, the sanctuary will protect a pod of up to 60 bottle-nosed dolphins living in the Port River and surrounding estuaries.

Port Adelaide is steeped in history. There is the Maritime Museum, Light House, New Land Gallery, National Railway Museum, National Military Vehicle Museum, South Australian Aviation Museum and the Australian Museum of Childhood. The Fisherman's Wharf markets are open every Sunday and Public Holidays and there are numerous antiques and collectable shops. Tall ships the 'One & All' and 'Falie' are based here and bookings are taken for day and night cruises. There are also many riverboat cruises and fishing charters available.

Football Park is a short drive away where you can see a game of Australian Rules football, and the airport is a mere 20 minute drive away if you have to catch that early flight.
