Attractions Toms Creek Retreat offers wonderful scenery, over 50 species of birds, wallabies, echidnas and other wildlife, 160 acres of eucalypt and rainforest and over 8 kilometres of walking tracks. There is also a huge waterhole in the Ellenborough River with natural spa and resident platypus. Guests who want to do more than relax in comfort and enjoy the beautiful and natural surroundings can use the retreat as a base to explore an area rich in Colonial history. The Hinterland abounds with accessible and clean rivers, waterfalls, mountains, a world heritage listed National Park, extensive eucalypt and rainforests and breathtaking scenery. Good roads wind through forested hills interspersed with lush green pastures. Discover interesting towns and villages offering unique cafes, wineries, galleries and cottage industries. The more adventurous can canoe down crystal-clear rivers, ride along dappled forest trails, or visit normally inaccessible places in comfort with guided 4WD tours.
