"Bundanoon in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales is a mere two hours from Sydney and Canberra. This 25 acre country retreat is situated within walking distance to the quiet village of Bundanoon with its shops, restaurants and cafes.
Morvern Valley guesthouse was one of the original guesthouses in Bundanoon in the 1930's and is not home to your host - indeed this tastefully restored cottage is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. Decorated with old world romance in mind the house has two open fireplaces with alternate heating in the other rooms, feather doonas and electric blankets, to ensure your stay is cheerful and enjoyable. Unwind and play in the Spa Bath by candlelight, relax in squashy sofas by the roaring open fire. Three individually decorated bedrooms, with authentic four poster beds. Collect farm fresh eggs and cook them up in the wonderful old fully facilitated kitchen - a breakfast basket full of local produce is included in your tariff at no extra charge.
Enjoy a stroll along our creek and check out the bird life, go in search of Wallabies, Lyre Birds, Platypus and echidnas. Say hello to Jack and the other ponies grazing in our paddocks. Feed colourful Crimson Rosellas and King parrots, the resident possum or maybe Harry the wombat.
Bikes are provided at no extra charge, so perhaps on an excursion into the spectacular Morton national park located just metres from your front door is in order. Bundanoon's spectacular waterfalls are a must see attraction. All plunge from sheer sandstone cliffs into deep rainforest gorges. There are 14 designated walks, from the gentle stroll along 'The Lovers Walk', or a challenging bushwalk to 'Fairy Bower Falls'.
For an extra special memory why not take one of our Horse and Carriage gourmet picnics into the park, where you can find enchanting secluded spots next to a waterfall or in a rainforest, proving very popular, so bookings are essential. A short distance away, are the Southern Highland towns of Berrima, Moss Vale, and Bowral. Country markets are held every Sunday. Eat at the many cafes, browse for antiques and collectables, visit wineries for cellar door sales, or play a round of golf at one of the many excellent golf courses.
